2008 Fall Waiting List is now OPEN!

At Whipple Tree we offer all our families just a little extra - we have over 20 years experience breeding and showing dogs, we offer you pet supplies at a discounted price from our Whipple Wares collection and we also offer boarding to all our families at a very low price so you may enjoy complete peace of mind while you vacation.  Indeed, many of our families comment on the improvement in their dog's overall behavior after the dog has stayed with us.  We don't just board your dog for you, we welcome him back with all the love and attention he received as a puppy.  We care for your dog as one of ours and work with your dog to correct any problems there may be so you return to a happy, rested, even better behaved dog.  Please contact us to arrange a visit so you may see the Whipple Tree advantage in person.

Ruby and Checkers

Ruby has delighted us all and come into season a bit ahead of schedule. As a result, we are pleased to announce that we will be repeating the beautiful litter we had at the very beginning of 2008 with Ruby and Checkers. Ruby and Checkers previously gave us astonishingly beautiful chocolate babies all of whom had gorgeous heavy boning with beautiful square heads and non-shedding coats. We anticipate another amazing litter from this couple and are now accepting reservations for their puppies who will be arriving mid-September. These puppies will all be standard sized puppies and mature to approximately 19 to 22 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 40 and 55 pounds. Please see below for photos of the puppies from the previous Ruby x Checkers litter. Many thanks to Ruby's wonderfully patient guardians, The Greenes for being so generous with Ruby's time away from them. Please contact Claire or Renald for further details on this litter.

Tatianna and Boomer

Tatianna and Boomer are our perfect canine couple and will be honeymooning once again the last week of June, with puppies due the later part of August and ready to go in October.  Brown and white parti puppies and solids in brown with straight, non-shedding fleece coats that are a breeze to care for are the hallmark traits from this couple.  An incredible desire to please and learn along with lots of snuggle power will be prominent traits.  Tatianna and Boomer have true affection for one another that is evident in their offspring.  These pups will be small to average sized mediums maturing at 17" to 18" and around 30-35 pounds.  this litter is fully booked. If you would like to be placed on our wait and see list for a Tatianna x Boomer puppy, please contact  Claire and Renald for further details.

Madeira with Xston

On June 12th, Madeira presented us with a gorgeous litter of 7 beauties. 4 chocolate puppies and 3 caramel puppies - 4 girls and 3 boys. Mom and the kids are all doing well. As you can see from the photos below, Madeira has a very unique style of nursing her puppies - lying flat on her back! This way she is able to feed everyone and catch some much deserved shut eye. This litter is fully booked.

Molly with Chico

On Monday, May 12th Molly presented us with a litter of 7 gorgeous puppies in caramel, chocolate, black and cream. She has 6 bouncing baby boys and 1 girl. This litter has 7 families anxiously awaiting their new arrivals and as such is fully booked.

Please contact Claire or Renald for further information on any of these planned 2008 litters.

Guardian Homes Wanted

Whipple Tree is actively seeking guardian homes located within 20 miles of Airdrie for our upcoming female breeding puppies. It takes a very special home to be a guardian and we select ours with a great deal of care. You must be willing to part with your dog for 6 weeks each time she is bred. If you are interested in further details, please contact Claire or Renald directly.

You can't buy loyalty, they say, bought it though the other day.
You can't buy friendships, tried and true.  Well, just the same I bought that too.
I made my bid and on the spot, bought love and faith and a whole lot of happiness,
so all in all, the purchase price was pretty small.  I bought a single trusting heart,
that gave devotion from the start.  If you think these things are NOT FOR SALE.
Buy a brown-eyed puppy with a wagging tail.

Whipple Tree Labradoodles is nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, minutes outside of Calgary, Alberta in Airdrie. Whipple Tree Labradoodles is proud to breed only multi-generational Australian Labradoodles with the highest regard for health and temperament. Whipple Tree’s Labradoodles enjoy acres of country air in which to romp freely.  We have a doggie pool on the acreage, giving our Labradoodles plenty of opportunity to enjoy summer swims. We do NOT operate as a kennel.

The Whipple Tree Labradoodle Advantage

At Whipple Tree we have a saying, we are all one wagon pulling together to further the Australian Labradoodle breed. We breed our dogs for the pure joy they bring to their new families and never simply for profit of any type.

We offer proven health, quality, conformation and temperament in our multi-gen Australian Labradoodle puppies. To ensure that our puppies meet the highest standards for health, conformation and temperament we do the following:

  • We test all our breeding stock for genetic defects that are inherent to Poodles and Labradors. These tests include hips, elbows, thyroid, DNA, eyes and a full CBC panel.

  • The tests are performed by a certified veterinarian and sent directly to a specialist for review. Whipple Tree is then provided with written documentation attesting to the results of the testing done. Any dog that does not do well on any of the tests is not used in our breeding program.

  • Our breeding stock come from quality bloodlines ensuring proven health, quality and temperament. Poodles and Labs who have displayed excellence in genetics, conformation and temperament are the backbone of our breeding stock and in the creation of the superior multi-generational Australian Labradoodles we are proud to use in our breeding program.

  • We only breed when our dogs are in optimum health and condition and have been approved by our veterinarian for breeding. We do not always breed on back-to-back seasons as puppy mills do. Our focus is on our dogs and in ensuring all conditions are optimal for our dogs, not on profit. We NEVER breed our dogs before they reach 1 year of age or after they have reached 6 years of age. At 6, our dogs are retired and become proud grandparents.

  • Whipple Tree is dedicated to providing you with an ideal family companion.  If you have previously been unable to enjoy having a dog due to allergies, our non-shedding, multi-generational Australian Labradoodle puppies are likely the perfect choice for you.  Early cross-overs, or F1 or F1B's tend to shed and will not provide an allergy sufferer with the coat quality needed.  Our lines originate from Australia with many years of selective breeding behind them.

  • We breed strictly to the Australian Labradoodle standard as set by the various Australian Labradoodle Associations. With Claire being both the Registrar and Quality Assurance Officer for Canada, we are pleased to have our dogs and their living situation as a model for new breeders. We have nothing against first generation Labradoodles, we simply have chosen the multi-generational Australian Labradoodle for their consistency, look, temperament and non-shedding qualities.

  • All our Labradoodles come from lines that are tested clear of any hip or eye disorders.  All our Labradoodles are registered with the International Australian Labradoodle Association and the Australian Labradoodle Association of America.  The health, temperament and conformation of our dogs is vital to us.  Puppies go to their new homes fully registered, de-wormed, vaccinated, de-sexed and with our 2 year, 6 month Health Guarantee and vet certificate.  Our goal is to further develop the wonderful qualities of the breed and for an added bonus, breed rare colours including parti puppies.  We anticipate having a good variety of colours including dogs with the two coloured parti feature, spots or white markings.

  • Puppies, once they are old enough, go outside to play as frequently as they wish. They receive lots of handling from a variety of different people in order to ensure that they are fully socialized.

  • As soon as they are ready, our puppies begin their training with us. We use wee pads to start housebreaking the pups, we put a collar on them to help them to become used to wearing one, we work with them constantly to teach them to only chew on their specific toys, of which they are many. At 6 weeks we do a personality profile on each puppy in order to allow us to match the puppy up with the best fit for his new family.

  • Once you have taken your puppy home, we welcome your calls and emails anytime for the life of your puppy. We love to hear how our babies are doing and what they are up to! We are pleased to provide you with any and all support possible for the life of your new family member.
